State Rep. Ann Bollin will play a key role in making House committee assignments for the 2021-22 legislative session after being named to the Committee on Committees by Speaker-elect Jason Wentworth.

The temporary panel will work with both incoming and returning representatives to assess their interests and expertise and recommend their committee assignments for the upcoming term.

“The beauty of the Legislature is that it is made up of elected representatives from all over Michigan with very diverse backgrounds and a wide variety of real-world experience,” said Bollin, of Brighton Township. “I look forward to helping match legislators to committees that utilize their personal strengths and experiences.”

Bollin, who is entering her second term in the House, also was recently selected by her colleagues to serve as assistant majority floor leader for the 2021-22 legislative session, a key leadership position.
