Legislator will be available to answer questions, listen to concerns
State Rep. Bradley Slagh, of Zeeland, today announced an opportunity for local residents to join him during scheduled office hours this month.
“It’s important to me to stay connected with our community and hear the concerns of West Michigan residents,” Rep. Slagh said. “I appreciate everyone who is willing to share their thoughts, experiences and ideas with me.”
Rep. Slagh will be available at the following times and locations:
- Friday, Sept. 18
- From 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Signatures Coffee & Espresso located at 6375 Balsam Dr. Suite 100 in Hudsonville
- From 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at Zeeland Bakery located at 130 E. Main Ave. in Zeeland. Tables are located right outside the restaurant, belonging to City of Zeeland.
- Monday, Sept. 21
- 8 to 9 a.m. at Deboer Bakery located at 380 W. 16th St. in Holland along with special guest Sen. Roger Victory

A group of House Republican legislators today labeled the latest emergency order issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regarding indoor visitation in nursing homes as a step in the right direction, adding there is still more work to be done.

“I have every bit of confidence in our nursing facilities to be able to facilitate impactful visitation opportunities for residents while also prioritizing safety measures and infection control protocols,” Slagh said. “We need to protect our most vulnerable, but we must also explore solutions that account for their quality of life and overall well-being.”
